AD2 4D-Nucleofector™ Y Kit
AD2 4D-Nucleofector™ Y Kit
Product Overview
Electroporation-based methods have so far required cells to be in suspension for transfection. However, the 4D-NucleofectorTM Y Unit allows direct Nucleofection of cells in adherence. Cells which typically grow in adherence in cell culture, can be kept and transfected by Nucleofection in their physiological state.
The AD2 Primary Cell 4D-NucleofectorTM Y Kit is one of our two kits that are suited for electroporation of primary cells in adherence when working with the 4D-NucleofectorTM Y Unit. The cells are cultured in the 24-well culture plates provided with the kit* and for the transfection step a 24-well Dipping Electrode Array is inserted after replacing culture medium by the specific NucleofectorTM Solution mixed with the DNA or RNA substrate.
This kit has been determined to be optimal for transfecting following cell types:
- C2C12
- Fibroblast, cardiac (rat)
- Fibroblast, dermal, neonatal (human; NHDF-neo)
- MEF (mouse)
Please refer to the Optimization Protocol for Primary Cells or Cell Lines and transfection results available under "Instructions" or in our knowledge database.
* Other 24-well culture plates may not be compatible with the 24-well Dipping Electrode Array. Please contact our Scientific Support if you want to use alternative plates.
