NHAC-kn – Human Knee Articular Chondrocytes
Cryopreserved ampule of Normal Human Knee Articular Chondrocytes (NHAC-kn) containing ≥ 750,000 cells
CloneticsTM Normal Human Articular Chondrocytes (NHAC-kn) are isolated from tissue taken from the human knee.
Cryopreserved CloneticsTM Normal Human Articular Chondrocytes are guaranteed through 15 population doublings. After differentiation, they are guaranteed positive for collagen type II and sulfated proteoglycans. All cells test negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. HIV-1, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are not detected for all donors and/or cell lots. A Certificate of Analysis is provided for each cell lot purchased.
- CGMTM Chondrocyte Growth Medium for expansion
- CDMTM Chondrocyte Differentiation Medium for differentiation of human chondrocytes
Articular cartilage is characterized by high wear resistance and poor regenerative qualities. It is responsible for much of the compressive resistance and load bearing qualities of the knee joint.
- Cartilage failure
- Cellular matrix linkage rupture
- Chondrocyte protein synthesis inhibition
- Chondrocyte apoptosis
