Product Overview

CloneticsTM Normal Human Articular Chondrocytes (NHAC-kn) are isolated from tissue taken from the human knee. 

Cryopreserved CloneticsTM Normal Human Articular Chondrocytes are guaranteed through 15 population doublings. After differentiation, they are guaranteed positive for collagen type II and sulfated proteoglycans. All cells test negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. HIV-1, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are not detected for all donors and/or cell lots. A Certificate of Analysis is provided for each cell lot purchased. 

Recommended medium:

  • CGMTM Chondrocyte Growth Medium for expansion 
  • CDMTM Chondrocyte Differentiation Medium  for differentiation of human chondrocytes

Articular cartilage is characterized by high wear resistance and poor regenerative qualities. It is responsible for much of the compressive resistance and load bearing qualities of the knee joint.
