RAFT™ 3D Cell Culture System – How it Works
The novel RAFT™ 3D Cell Culture System is designed to closely mimic the native environment of cells. The RAFT™ 3D Cell Culture Kit offers a complete solution with the necessary reagents and consumables to develop RAFT™ 3D Cultures.
Immunofluorescence Visualization of Fibroblast or Cancer Cells in RAFT™ 3D Cell Cultures
In this technical note, we show that immunofluorescence can be performed easily and routinely on RAFT™ 3D Cell Cultures. Primary human dermal fibroblasts (HDF) or the breast cancer cell line MCF7 were cultured in RAFT™ 3D culture system for up to 23 days prior to fixation and staining.
Creating RAFT™ 3D Cell Cultures with Different Thicknesses and Different Cell Types
In this Technical Note, we show how RAFT™ 3D Cell Cultures with different thicknesses ranging from approximately 30 μm to 140 μm can be generated with only a few minor modifications to the standard protocol. RAFT™ Cultures with decreased thickness could be of interest when limited amounts of cells are available and there is a need to reduce number of cells used per RAFT™ Culture.
