UPDATE (Apr 2019):

We have decided to discontinue the performance of a sterility test for our Pyrogen-free Tubes.

As part of the production process, all glassware is depyrogenated at extremely high temperatures well in excess of standard depyrogenation process conditions. These conditions provide for ample assurance that the tubes are depyrogenated making them suitable for use when performing the Bacterial Endotoxins Test (BET). Therefore, there is no added value or additional quality assurance in subsequently performing a sterility test after processing. As a result, the Certificate of Analyses will no longer indicate the results of a sterility test for these products.

 

The implementation date for this change is the end of April 2019.

 

All test tubes are made from USP Type 1 flint borosilicate glass. Contain less than 0.005 EU/ml endotoxin.Product number N207 is recommended for dilution of endotoxin standards and test samples for all endotoxin detection assays. Product numbers N201 and N205 are recommended for use as reaction tubes in gel clot assays
