There has been siginificant push over the last few years for global pharmacopeias to consider the recombinant Factor C (rFC) assay as an equivalent endotoxin detection method to LAL-based, compendial bacterial endotoxin tests (BET). In recent months, several global pharmacopeias have announced plans to begin incorporating the rFC method into upcoming revisions of their respective BET chapter or as a standalone chapter dedicated to the methodology.
