PowerCHO® 2 Media

PowerCHO® 2 is the second-generation of Lonza CHO media. It is a chemically defined, serum-free CHO medium, optimized for cell growth and protein production. Its non-animal origin formula is a proven media for supporting high density CHO cells in suspension.

For therapeutic bioprocessing applications, this protein-free formulation facilitates both downstream purification and regulatory compliance.

Our PowerCHO® 2 medium has been in the marketplace for over a decade and has established itself in association with several late-phase and commercial Biosimilar and Originator molecules, developed in a range of CHO cell lines. Chemically-defined Selective Medium with HEPES and Pluronic® F68, without L-Glutamine, Phenol red or Nucleosides (HT).

ProCHO® 5 Media

ProCHO® 5 is the first-generation Lonza CHO media, optimized for cell growth and protein production. ProCHO® 5 is a non chemically-defined, serum-free, non-animal origin media for supporting high density CHO cells in suspension. For therapeutic bioprocessing applications, these formulations also facilitate both downstream purification and regulatory compliance. 

ProCHO® 5 has been in the marketplace for many years and is used in association with several late-phase and commercial Biosimilar and Originator molecules, developed in a range of CHO cell lines.

ProCHO® Media deliver many benefits including consistent results, simplified downstream purification, and maximized yield. For your convenience, all ProCHO® Media is made with Pluronic® F-68 and without L-glutamine or nucleosides (HT).
