Diseased Human Subcutaneous Preadipocyte Cells – Diabetes Type I
Diseased Human Subcutaneous Preadipocyte Cells – Diabetes Type I
Product Overview
PoieticsTM Diseased Human Preadipocytes (D-HprAD) are isolated from subcutaneous or visceral fat from diabetic Type I and diabetic Type II donors. Preadipocytes from normal (non-diabetic) donors are available as a separate product. Pertinent additional donor information, including Body Mass Index (BMI), insulin dependence, and age of diagnosis may be available by contacting Scientific Support. Cryopreserved PoieticsTM Diseased Human Preadipocytes (D-HprAD) are guaranteed to contain ≥1 million cells per ampoule and test positive for adipogenic differentiation. All cells test negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. HIV-1, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are not detected for all donors and/or cell lots. A Certificate of Analysis is provided for each cell lot purchased. Recommended Medium: PGMTM -2 Preadipocyte Growth Medium-2 BulletKitTM Medium (provides both a proliferation medium and a differentiation medium guaranteed to induce differentiation into mature, functionally active adipocytes; Each bottle of the PGM-2TM BulletKitTM Medium contains enough differentiation medium to fully differentiate 10 million preadipocytes [10 complete 96-well plates] into mature, functionally active adipocytes). The PGMTM-2 Medium is offered as a BulletKitTM Medium (catalog no. PT-8002) which includes both the basal medium and the necessary supplements for both proliferation and differentiation of preadipocytes. The basal medium (PGMTM-2 Basal Medium; catalog no. PT-8202) and the necessary supplements (PGMTM-2 SingleQuotTM Kit; catalog no. PT-9502) can also be purchased individually. Lonza guarantees the performance of CloneticsTM/PoieticsTM cells only if appropriate CloneticsTM/PoieticsTM media and reagents are used exclusively and the recommended storage and use protocols are followed. Any modifications made to the recommended cell systems including the use of alternative media, reagents or protocols, will void cell and media performance guarantees. If you need assistance in selecting the appropriate media, reagents, or protocol, please contact Lonza Scientific Support.
