Product Overview

CD4+ T cells are also known as helper T cells because they act on other cells of the immune system to promote various aspects of the immune response, including immunoglobulin isotype switching and affinity maturation of the antibody response, macrophage activation and enhanced activity of natural killer cells and cytotoxic T cells.

Cells You Can Count on to Perform

Lonza CD4+T Cells are isolated from peripheral blood of healthy donors using negative immunomagnetic separation.  Cryopreserved CD4+ T cells are guaranteed ≥ 90% pure for CD4+ T cells, as assessed by flow cytometry. They are guaranteed to contain ≥ 10 million viable cells per vial. HIV-1, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are not detected for all donors and/or cell lots. A Certificate of Analysis is provided for each cell lot purchased. Cells are available from multiple donors. Please contact Customer Service for details on available inventory and donor demographic characteristics (age, gender, and ethnicity).

Choices in Cell Type and Tissue Source

Hematopoietic and immune research requires cells from different donors and tissue sources. That's why Lonza offers many different peripheral blood cell types. If you need different cell types from the same donor, you can either isolate from Lonza cryopreserved PBMCs or contact Customer Service to inquire about cells matched from the same donor. In addition, if you are interested in more naive T cells, unprocessed bone marrow, autologous bone marrow and whole blood from the same donor, bone marrow CD34+ cells, or cord blood CD34+ cells might be good solutions.

Supported by Lonza Media LGM-3TM

Lymphocyte Growth Medium is recommended for optimal performance. Please contact Scientific Support for thawing and culturing guidance. Lonza guarantees the performance of CloneticsTM/PoieticsTM cells only if appropriate CloneticsTM/PoieticsTM media and reagents are used exclusively and the recommended storage and use protocols are followed. Any modifications made to the recommended cell systems including the use of alternative media, reagents or protocols, will void cell and media performance guarantees. If you need assistance in selecting the appropriate media, reagents, or protocol, please contact Lonza Scientific Support.
