Product Overview

Psoriasis is believed to be an immune related condition characterized by patches of abnormal skin. Psoriasis is chronic, lasting years or even an entire lifetime, and impacts millions of individuals every year. Psoriasis is believed to have a genetic component, however, scientists are still uncertain what specifically causes the disease. For individuals with psoriasis, skin cells grow at an abnormal rate causing the build-up of lesion sites. These flair-ups are often initiated by a trigger such as stress or injury. Lonza offers dermal fibroblasts, isolated from both lesion sites and non-lesion sites, all isolated from the same donor diagnosed with psoriasis.
