Poietics^TM Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells (DPSC) are isolated from adult third molars collected during the extraction of a donor's 'wisdom' teeth. These cells have demonstrated very similar phenotypic and functional characteristics to that of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells. Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells (DPSC) have been reported to differentiate down many different lineages including chondrogenic, osteogenic, adipogenic and neural.

Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells (DPSC) have been cryopreserved at primary passage and the DPSC Dental Pulp Stem Cell BulletKit^TM Medium has been optimized for cell maintenance and expansion.

Cryopreserved Poietics^TM Dental Pulp Stem Cells (DPSC) are guaranteed through 10 population doublings, to express CD105, CD166, CD29, CD90, and CD73, and to not express CD34, CD45, and CD133. All cells test negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. HIV-1, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are not detected for all donors and/or cell lots. A Certificate of Analysis is provided for each cell lot purchased.

The DPSC Dental Pulp Stem Cell BulletKit^TM Medium is offered as a BulletKit^TM Medium (catalog no. PT-3005) which includes both the basal media and the necessary supplements for proliferation of human dental pulp derived mesenchymal stem cells. The basal medium (DPSC Basal Medium; catalog no. PT-3927) and the necessary supplements (DPSC SingleQuot Kit; catalog no. PT-4516) can also be purchased individually.

Any modifications made to the recommended cell systems including the use of alternative media, reagents or protocols, will void cell and media performance guarantees.
