Version 4.16 comprises some updates that account for specifics related to weldable variants of the LV NucleocuvetteTM Cartridges and the 4D-NucleofectorTM LV Reservoir. In addition, several features have been fine-tuned based on user feedback. If you work with version 4.15, you do not necessarily have to upgrade to 4.16, unless you plan to start working with weldable variants or want to take advantage of the improvements.
Brief overview of changes over version 4.15:
Updates for handling weldable variants:
- Priming pump speed has been increased to account for the increase in possible tubing length when using weldable variants.
- The clearing pump now always clears three times in order to safely push all liquid processed into the collection reservoir.
- Because of the introduction of weldable tubing including manual pinch clamps, a new message box appears after pressing START: "Please make sure that the tubing is inserted properly and that all manual pinch clamps are opened."
Other improvements:
- Volume processing and counting is now based on pump steps (motor steps) instead of filling cycles. Therefore it is much more precise and typically ~2-5% accurate.
- The experiment progress bar is no longer showing a percentage.
- The lower liquid sensor is no longer active after the initial sensing of liquid to avoid that little bubbles lead to a process stop.
- Additional fillings to account for slight overfill of input reservoirs: One additional filling for 1-10 mL entered, two additional fillings for 11-20 mL entered.
- "STOP" button during pulsing has been renamed to "CANCEL".
- “RESTART” of an experiment does not directly lead to the start of another run, but leads back to the initial set up of an experiment.
- The result screen volume information no longer shows e.g. “10 of 10 mL” but "entered volume: 10 mL" and "calculated volume: 10.3 mL".
- A bug fix for the 4D-NucleofectorTM LogWare.
